Sounds loud as hell. Not my taste for a CL. However this entire thread is rather pointless now since it''s not a Flowmaster 40 that was installed.
How does it sound cruising at 65? Sounds like it would drone like hell at HW speeds.

HolyTickingBatman!!! (2nd video)

Got that raspy sound when revved...
Damn, I'm a fan of loud exhaust, but that turns me away from this route.
Maybe the video does it no justice though...

OMG that is seriously the worst exhaust I have ever heard on a CL

At idle it sounds like there is a hole in the exhaust and when its revved it either still sounds like a hole in the exhaust or there is a ricer civic trapped under your car.

It's actually pretty quiet at 65 mph. The only time it's really loud is if I have it at mid RPM range or WOT. Like I said, the clips sound like shit. You'd have to hear it in person for yourself.

And NO it does not sound like a civic with a fart can...

It's actually a very distinct sound. I've never heard it on any Honda or Acura....or any other import. I think you're being a lil sarcastic.

The sound doesn't go with the car. It sounds like you're trying to force a big block sound out of the CL. Doesn't fit IMO.

Um no thanks, My magnaflows sound much better and not like the car is lacking some exhaust maintenance. Probably could have got that same sound punching holes in the stock mufflers.

if you want an exhaust clip vid you need to shoot it from behind with your car running away, or from your friends car next to you on a highway w/ you slightly ahead of him(his door at your rear bumper).

i cant make a judgement yet other than the fact that it sounds wayyy too loud for a car that slow. im not saying your car is slow as hell, but im saying no CL NEEDS to be that loud...unless you are a supra or something of those ranks, i think it should be kept to a tasteful level of dB.

The Comptech Setup can get a little raspy at idle at Higher RPMs as well.

We all have opinions on what we think sounds good. I've always liked loud as long as it sounds good.

I swear my intake is 2-3x louder than my exhaust when vtec kicks in.

i have the 40 series i think,or its the 50 series,(i cant remeber off hand) its on a 93 integra 1.6 liter b16 , straight pipe,no cat, 2 1/4 piping sounds amazing. i never get pigged with it,or ever get complaints.not loud iv been told it sounds stupid good.. I also had a 40 or a 50 cant remebe ron a 97 cl 2.2 vtec 5speed, 2 1/4 pipe with cat, sounded real good. flowmaster has that echo sound vs the magna gives off that vrrrm sound. I personaly hatethat vrmmm sound. Iv had magna flow on my first gen cl prior to the flow, and i coudnt handle the magna, lasted 2 days before i chopped it off..

Flowmaster is proper and its priced well, and gives your the luxuary of tip design and custom ability in placement. routing piping etc.. angle mufflers etc..
