Flowmaster 40 series muffler
Has anybody on the board had experience with these? I just bought one and am going 2.5" from the cat back (meeting up to the new axleback already in place). The last OEM resonator will be deleted so the 40 series will take its place.
Here's the link for the 40 series
I have a feeling it's going to sound loud and just plain sick. I already have headers, a new RT cat is coming in, and the axle back as most of you know.
Ideas, compliments and opinions welcome.

It will sound bad. It's meant for domestics...actually scratch that, muscle cars only. Even regular domestic cars sound bad with 40 series. I had them with custom piping on my Mustang and that was the only time it sounded good. Please, stick to something meant for imports.

i dont think he has axlebacks, their just pipes, it looks like this will be the ONLY thing to deaden the sound. its going to be loud. i run 2 mufflers and 1 resonator on a 2.5" system and its one step too loud. but no where close to the sound of the mustangs w/ 2.5" duals. but loud for an acura. im looking to upgrade the resonator.

^^^He got it, I'm running straight pipes on my axle back. And yes, this will be replacing the OEM resonator on the b-pipe. I'm not going for sound cancelation. Just opening the exhaust a lil bit and add more sound.

When I have it installed I will put up a video clip. I'll have some locals be the judge as well.
EDIT: I have a feeling some will be able to stand the sound while others won't like it at all. hehee
BTW...Merry Christmas everyone!

I know, I know...why did I do it? I was going for a throatier sound but it wasn't what I was looking for. So, I just got used to the sound. But, since I've been modifying the engine, when its time for the big stuff to go on, the exhaust will already be done to a larger diameter to help it breath better.
Who knows, I might add aftermarket mufflers if it is too loud.

Yes sadly And I have been on this forum nearly a year and a 1/2. He has 2 months of total nonsense bullshit.
I wonder if it's possible in a forum to allow the original poster from disabling certain users from making comments in their thread.

Getting back on topic, a few 7th gen Accord owners use the Flowmaster mufflers. They usually run a pipe from the cat into a resonator, then use two flowmaster mufflers with some nice tips. I would recommend going the traditional route on this one.
