Finally lined up next to a G35!

So about twenty minutes ago me and my girl were heading back from getting lunch and coffee. We come to a light and I notice a dark gray 06 G35 coupe lined up next to a shitty Fiero in front of me. The light turns green and the G35 takes off pretty quickly (if he's "challenging" a Fiero I'm sure he'll mess with me). I get in front of the Fiero in hope of lining up next to the G at the next light. It worked! We were waiting for the light and he's slowly creeping up every couple seconds. I knew he was going to go for it and I kept lining up even. I told my girl to hold on to her coffee because I was going to take off. I get the usual why do you think this guy wants to race you question and just smirk. I turned off the VSA and got ready. Light turns green and we both light the tires up. Yes, I love it! Anyway, through first we're dead even, bumper to bumper. 2nd gear we stay even until mid gear he pulls ever so slightly on me, maybe a half a fender max and at the top of 2nd right before hitting 3rd we both catch up to traffic ahead of us, so unfortunately the race ended there, but for what it was, I was really happy that he only got a half a fender on me. He was alone and I had my girl, so I'm confident to say I would've definitely kept even with him. She's small so I can't say I'd pull on him but in any case, I've been waiting to take one on and I was happy I kept pace for almost 3 gears from a dead stop. Hopefully I'll encounter another soon so I can go all out.

We're the elephant compared to the G, they'll always have the edge being lighter and having a bigger engine in a lighter car.

straight from infiniti's website:
Curb weight 3,505 lb (auto) 3,524 lb (manual)

from acura's website:
Curb weight
Automatic
3510 lb

Manual
3446 lb

so your right, the manual vs. manual the G is 78 lbs heavier w/ 33 more HP, and if the acura was rated now, i'm sure it wouldnt be 260 hp, but more like 250. i'm just saying, stock for stock, the G will take you, i dont know what you guys are thinking.
