true, but it would be great if they'd put up towers to display the ET and trap, new grand stands, repave the track and return, pave the road to the track.... :P Other than that it's great!

 

Actually I think Fomosa Raceway in Bakersfield is the quickest track I have driven on in the west coast. Pomona Raceway is quick right after the NHRA has had an event there (primarily because the track is very sticky). Unfortunately Bakersfield is quite a jaunt for me and so Carlsbad it is! The approach road to Carlsbad and the general layout isn't that fantastic, but its what we have here.

In the old days Terminal Island was open in the Long Beach area... but the bureaucrats have shut that down and I don't see it opening anytime soon.

 

terminal island was an awesome track, there is actually serious talk about bringing it back. Pomona was fast but not as quick as carlsbad, plus they don't open it up for street legals anymore. Haven't run at bakersfield, but have been up there a bunch of times and seen some good times put down. Only problem is that it gets fuckin hot up there.
