Failed Inspection

Hey everybody,

This is what I need to fix in order to pass the inspection. I'm looking to purchase the parts at OEM Acura parts and I need help to verify what Y pipe before the muffler I need to order.
Is this the correct one?

I forgot how expensive the OEM headlight bulbs are. Do I need to get anything else If I'm trying to put them in?

I never had a problem with my aftermarket HID as they should be DOT approved. I got them from HID extra years ago. The inspector said the rules have changed in Virginia. Anybody from Northern VA heard this before?

Failed for Defrost Inoperative
Fog Lights LED not approved
Fog light indicator does not ilumminate
Headlights aftermarket HID not approved
Rear Brakes (Pads and Rotors)
Exhaust Leak (Y Pipe Before Muffler)

Thanks in advance!

The OEM link you provide above is for a Brake Line.

OEM Exhaust Y-Pipe appears discontinued:

A cursory search on Ebay found the one below. A further search may come up with a cheaper option?

Is the HID ballast/igniter what's aftermarket or is it just the bulb? Did the Previous Owner put some 10K Kelvin bulbs in there? I would get some TheRetrofitSource bulbs in there or Philips if you want to stay OEM: https://www.theretrofitsource.com/hi...cecategory:asc

Check to see if this kit will meet your requirements https://www.theretrofitsource.com/ma...AIR?quantity=1

If the pipe is discontinued, your next option is from a junkyard car. But even that is going to prove difficult with old rusted bolts & nuts.
Do you know where the leak is at? Is there a rusted out hole in the pipe, or is it leaking at a flange? You might be able to just take it to a muffler shop, and they can cut the bad portion of the pipe, and just weld in a new pipe. But if it's a rusted hole in the pipe, I can't imagine the rest of the pipe is any better.

Could always upgrade to a 3 inch pipe and enjoy the extra power. But it sounds like Virginia is strict on regulations, so I don't know if that'd even pass.

I'm the original owner so I had it installed. I think I had it installed with the HID Ballast/ignitor. The whole kit that came with the D2R bulbs. And now I know why the inspector said aftermarket because he saw the aftermarket HID Extra ballast mounted near the headlights. The output are 5k. OEM HID, I believe are 4300k.

So then swapping out the bulbs for this will pass the inspection? https://redirect.viglink.com/?format...category%3Aasc

Tell me about it. That's why I haven't added any new upgrades to the car in 10 years.

Yeah I figured it was not the right part.

This looks good and it's black. Interesting
