HID Replacement for 2G TL-S
What's up fam?! I've been trying to find posts of how I should go about replacing my HID bulbs and ballasts on my 03 TL-S. I have a problem with the passenger side light going out when it rains, but comes back on after it dries out.
Here is what I need to know:
Please help me out. I've been wanting to do this for some time now, but never really knew what to do.

Here is what I need to know:
- What wattage? 35w or 55w
- What Kelvin? 5000k, 6000k, 8000k? I want the white color with the blue tint.
- What is a good brand? I was thinking of ordering some from DDM Tuning. They seem to have good prices.
- What kelvin should I choose for the fog lights?
Please help me out. I've been wanting to do this for some time now, but never really knew what to do.

I think you first need to find out why the light goes out during rain.
Replacing the ballast may not fix it.
Check for moisture inside the housing by looking in through the lense and also remove the round black plastic cover from the back side of the housing and look for moisture.
One good option is to swap parts between left/right sides. Problem could be the ballast, ignitor, bulb or wiring (connector moisture intrusion). It's a bit of work to swap parts but you should find the problem before buying new parts, only to have the same issue with the new parts.
OEM parts are always better/more reliable, such as the ballasts and bulbs. I would not go above 5K on the bulbs, the higher this rating the lower the lumens you put out in front of you on the road. If your goal is for best illumination stick with 4300 to 5K OEM brand name like Phillips or Osram. HID bulbs last a long time but they slowly reduce light output over time as they age. They also change color (their light output) as they age.
I personally prefer 55 watt ballasts but they require custom mounting. Also, with 55's you need to have your lights adjusted properly so you don't blind on coming traffic. I buy my aftermarket parts from The Retrofit Source. OEM parts for your car can be had on ebay fairly cheap.

you can screw around taking the housing units off the car and swapping parts
or you can face the reality of the situation and do it right ,,one time, both sides complete
new lights are awesome! but do take 50 hours use to fully `burn in`

Today the passenger side low beam stopped working. #pissed
I've submitted a ticket to DDM tuning to see what they are going to do. They've only been installed about 10-11 days.
