F**k My Life

If youre wondering what that is, its the window regulator.

I got into my car earlier to go to work. I rolled the windows down and the passenger window made an odd grinding noise. I stopped rolling it down, tried to raise it up, and it wouldnt move. So I thought that the glue holding the window to the plastic tabs broke loose.

I pull off the doorpanel and the plastic shit, and I take a look. The cable that pulls the window back up shredded, ripped out of the sliding mechanism on the slide, wound it self up inside the door and scratched my tints up. As I was pulling the motor out parts were falling off.

As I was doing all this work the sky turned black and looked like it was about to start pouring, luckily it didnt.

Now my car is parked in the garage and the parts wont be in until Friday. :angryfire

Hopefully the excessive use of emoticons convey my feelings right now.

Dude I feel your pain. You think that was fun? Wait for the re-install
In my years as an Integra owner I must have done three or four of those!

i just order the whole part regulator with motor frm dealer and will try to install it myself as opposed to paying almost 300 bucks to the s/dealer.

WHA! $300??? It took me 25 minutes to pull out the old one. Ill update (maybe even do a write up) when I get the new one in.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for it?

I got the new reg. in earlier. It took me 25 mins. I already had the door apart so Id add another 10mins for the entire install. I was going to do a writeup, but its pretty self explanatory once you get the door panel and plastic off.
