I don't really see anythign wrong here.... That's what the bar was designed to do, stop the car from flexing. Just because there's paint doens't really mena much, it's doing it's job

i never said anything was wrong...just the effects...nothing more...u draw your own conclusions (shitty paint, too much stress on the bar, etc.)

hahaha!!! What u need is a strust bar the same color as the car so it don't show U know.... I've had one BIG beef regarding how their paint is layed on what... with a silver car, I beleive the underside is BLACK, with a Black car, the underside is SILVER!!! (Our bumpers are like this)

At least you know it's doing its job. If the body wasn't flexing to begin with you would have this "problem". I have the same thing.

Scooter,

I can’t believe you went through the trouble of removing that bar just to shave a few hundredths off your ¼ mile time.

Why not just pop some EX-LAX and take a POWER DUMP before the run ???

YES.....This is from another thread:

im headin down...weather looks decent this time!!...im gonna b trying some alternative settings to try and dial in on the right combo...some of the settings include increasing pressure in the rears while letting air out of the fronts, taking off upperstrut bar, taking off BOTH road lamps instead of just 1, having much less gas in the car (1/4 or less), and debating on folding side mirrors in...this is in addition to the spare already being out.

tire pressure should make a noticeable difference

upperstrut bar is dead weight...every little bit counts, right??

road lamps is a debateable topic...could b a Catch-22

gas is dead weight also

side mirrors is a very debatable topic...i've heard many arguments for and against the idea...such as at these speeds, it won't make a difference, our mirrors, the '01's, are way too big and cause too much drag, etc.

so who can join me???? anyone film the races also???

Check out the latest issue of SCC... they did a BUNCH of runs with three types of tires, street radials, drag radials and slicks.

The street radials were SLOWER when they ran them below 30 PSI. They were also SLOWER when they cooked them doing a burnout. Too cold and tires will be hard, too hot and they turn slimey. They used some type of laser thermometer to measure the heat of the tires before each launch and measured the PSI of the tires before each run as well.

Informative reading...
