I have one on my hood, it seemed as if mine appeared a couple of months after I got my car also. Is this a paint defect or something? I went to a detailer and he said it was within the paint and that it wasn't due to something like bird shit.

I haven't seen any cloudiness but I do have what looks like a smear in the cleacoat. It's not too noticable unless you look for it.

I have the same thing........I've waxed, zainoed, buffed, highspeed buffed, glazed, compounded.........nothing seems to work. I have a spot on my hood about the size of a silver dollar, you can only see it in the right light though!!!!!

What did the dealer do to get rid if the clouds?

I had the same thing on my MBP on the trunk lid. I think my marks in the paint was done by their deatiler when the car was prepped. That's what I think happened to me. I brought it back to the dealer and they somehow removed the cloud or swirl mark. IMO, trying to repair this by yourself could damage the paint more.

I agree, sometimes it's best left up to the professionals.
