Is it easy to add Navigation to my CL??

I just bought another CL and want to take it's Navigation out and put it in my current CL...Anyone know if that's an easy task? Are all the wires in place in my current CL even though it doesn't have Nav? Is it as simple as just unplugging the nav from one car and plugging it into the other? Thanks!

Its a ton of work, and you have to tear apart nearly your entire dash and console. Not to mention running wires the length of your car.

Try using the search. Search for "Navigation Conversion" in the 2nd gen CL section. There is a specific link with pics somewhere, I couldnt find it for you though.

Its been done. Its labor intensive. Its not cheap. If you need more help finding it, im sure someone will post it, if they dont ill search again for you.

Thanks, I'll try to find that site with the pics. I assumed that the wires would already be there when it leaves the dealer Nav or not. If a Navless CL is new at the dealer and a buyer wants Nav, I can't imagine them turning him down. I would think the wires would be there for them to simply add it. I guess I'm wrong?

You're better off going aftermarket IMHO.

Yeah your wrong. The dash is totally different, & the wire harness is different. It either came with factory nav or not. You can add an aftermarket unit.

However, since you say you have a CL with nav you do have all the parts if the interior is the same color.

go for the aftermarket. you'd probably get a better detailed map compared to the crappy kindergarden maps we have on the CLs. most of the aftermarket navigations out there have bigger screens than the OEM navigation. that's a plus.
