Crazy!!! I think that 330 can take out a stock e46 M3 cause I think the M3 dynos alittle bit less. But it would be a drivers race I think.

the car was an auto, he had it swapped out and put in a manual.

As for taking out an M3... it would be close. M3 puts about 275-280HP and 230-240 LBS/FT Torque to the rear wheels. But they have LSD and are lighter which would help it. Also im sure the redline is in favor of the m3 so it has more to work with. But who knows. My money would be on the 330 as long as he could launch the sucka.

There are more supercharged 330s running around, but most never get them dynoed or take them to the drag. But i think this one guy is my ticket to get more info.

I may have to get blown come spring time

yeah I doubt he is running much boost...I'm sure that IC does fine. Some people don't even use IC"s with superchraged cars.

Looks awesome but I agree, why not just buy an M3 or even a stick to begin with and then add the SC? I can understand the 330 over M3 because its unique (or at least more so) but swapping trannies sounds like a waste.

I've got a friend with a 330ci who puts down higher numbers than that. Actually he puts down higher number with just the SCer, now with an aditional 50 shot he puts down somewhere in the realm of 330WHP and 350FPT. He races my other friend with his M3 and chip, and pulls from him, and that is with no shot, with N2O he is literally a FKin bullet.

I guess it's a nice way to waste 60-70gs. I'd rather have a porshe or a viper. Whatever floats your boat.

whoa! Where did 60-70k come from!?!? The SC kit is 6k and a fully optioned 330 is 45k.

The same option m3 would be 55k stock. So its close.

I guess some people buy 330s and like having the option to mod at their own pace instead of having a stock m3 and not being able to afford anything else to do with it. I dunno.
