Driver's side window is "sticking" on hot days

Driver's side window is "sticking" on hot days

Is anyone else having this problem...if so what can I do about it? On really hot days when I try 2 use the auto down feature, the window stops and I have to hit the button a couple more times to get it down.

Could be...maybe when it gets too warm...only got 37K on the CLS...need to take it to the dealer maybe...thanks for the reply Doom878!!!!

get some of hondas silicone spray and spray it in the crevices

my car has the same issue. it only happens with the interior gets warm from the sun ('bout that time of year again).

prolly should have it looked at, but I'm too lazy.

Let me know because it gets hot out here too. I haven't had this problem but I did have to replace my regulator on my side. It wouldn't close all the way.

I rally appreciate the info...For the time being...I'll try the silicone..thn have them look @ it next month when I get the oil changed....

Its probably the rubber heating up and actually kind of sticking to the window....when you roll down the window you break that temporary seal

It's normal...about the only thing you could do is replace the window run channel...but it will happen again!!so if it really bothers u...spray some silicone spray inside the run channel and move the window up and down to lubricate it.

So the window is stopping because when it sticks the motor stops, so it keeps from damaging the whole mechanism I quess...OK, I understand what to do now

the motor doesn't stop it...the auto-down feature is controled by a small unit. It's a safety feature that stops the motor from moving down just ncase u might be crushing something or whatever. Just lube up the run channel so it doesn't become so sticcky when it gets hot.

I agree with CLpower, get some silicon spray. The same thing happened with my old CRX. If you don't lube the edges ever now and then it will cause bigger problems in the long run.

The pass. side window of my CL used to stutter going down on hot days. The silicone should do the trick.
