Ugh. Just started happening the other day. When I leans towards the inner side of the car the seat creaks. Anybody else have a similar problem? What did you do and did the dealership fix, replace etc.,?

 

my seat creaked all the time and they had to replace the seat mounting rail in order to fix it. the part took about 3 days to arrive and they took maybe an hour to put it in. I lost my memory settings (both seat and mirrors) in the process.

I've also heard of broken welds in the seat frame causing creaks as well. in this case, the seat was disassembled and the frame replaced. I don't know how long it took to repair.

 

Mine's creaking too, it also feels loose when I give it some gas. Feels like it might have a millimeter or two of free travel. Something needs to be tightened up, I guess.

i took off the seat back, and sprayed WD40 on some of the stuff in there, and it stopped

I know the DOM is in the VIN somewhere, where do I find it?

I'll go look if I can figure it out

 

look on the driver's side door frame. the date will be there.

as my sig says, mine is 09/00

 

If you're leaning toward the middle of the car when it happens, it's probably the lumbar adjustment handle rubbing against the center colsole lid; I have to leave the lid in its forward position to alleviate the sqeaking noise.

I hear the same annoying squeak when I lean BACKWARDS and toward the center. It's really annoying.
