Can anyone tell me if the CD changer on the '03 CL-S can play CDR's or CDRW's? I don't have any on me here at work and I'm planning on taking my new '03 in to have them fix some fit/finish issues I had. If nobody knows, I need to go home first and grab some to try. I figure if they get stuck in there, I can have them take the discs out for me while at the dealer for service.

My 2001 plays CDR's but not CDRW's

 

All the CD's I play in my CLS have stick on labels. They are Heavy duty Matte ink jet lables manufactured by Neato. They work just fine.

Why do you say no stick on lables?

Oh and RW's don't work in my car. Only R's.

 

labels on the CD-R's sometimes cause the CD to get stuck inside the player and it's a bitch to take out if it gets stuck!

Mine plays CD-R's fine. I don't think many audio CD players can play CDRW's at all. I can't play them on any audio cd player I have, or tried.

 

mine plays cdrs, but sometimes i notice some weird staticy sounds... i'm not sure if they're the blose speakers though...

 

r u sure that static sound is not due to ure cell phone? i have voice stream and whenever my cell phone goes off, my audio system starts to produce static
