Question Diy On Vsa Throttle Delete?

WELL, I am wanting to delete the vsa throttle tomorrow 2 see the gains. Did a search and couldn't find out what to do, so help me please.
Plus, if you have done it, what kind of gains should I expect?

Someone did it not too long ago. All I know is that they put in some kind of resistor(s) where the wire harness plugs into the VSA TB..

But thats all that I know. Wait for everyone else to chip in..

Why would you get any gains from this? All you'd do is lose the traction control part of vsa. This seems like a step backwards to me.

if u pull out the sensor on side off the vsa tbody its got like a spring loaded part, if u put it back in and not put the armature back on proper u delte vsa, I have had this done for awhile... idk bout resistors and gains tho.....

TYPE-R HAS IT DONE and a cople other guys. the vsa is connected to something in the throttle body, and once its removed, more aire flow and less restriction, but the vsa still works. If TYPER has it done, then i want to do it as well. He has the fastest 5at on here and I respect what he has done...lmk If you can get anymore info please

Sure seems like a lot of work to gain very little (nothing noticeable) and remove a system that may help you avoid an accident.

thanks, but i already found that thread and it says nothing about how to do it. any gains is worth it for me, plus vsa is not a life saver. i drive around all day with the button off in any weather condition. Just a pain in the ass if you ask me. may be good for other people in other states with different weather conditions but i live in florida where its only hot as hell and thats it, so if its resticting my car from power, damn straight im taking it off..haha

You'll get a bigger boost by taking out your stereo and OnStar then you will from removing the VSA but I guess.

ok , the easy way is to just pull the VSA out of the intake tract , wrap it in something and lay it on the tranny plugged in but not working ,, ull need to extend the intake pipe or use something designed for the 6mt .... if you wanna get it out of ur car altogether ,then go the resistor route, all this being said , this should be way down the list of mods after almost all other mods have been done , if its 2hp id be surprised , but i also did it for the weight and the fact i had the TB P&P and did my own upper and lower intake manifold , those would be a waste w/o the vsa gone ...
