Did your transmission do THIS??

I know you all are tired of seeing these transmission threads. This might be my 2nd transmission replacement, 4th total for the car. Anyway, I was driving home on Sunday, left my job at 3am. On the way home, I'm driving at about 60mph and I'm approaching an area with some hills. As I start going up, with my foot still on the gas, it felt like the car was in neutral. I'm giving it some gas...nothing. So I quickly shifted into D4 and gave it some gas...car starts to respond. I shift back into D5 and I'm driving normal. It happens again at another location. Same result. Feels like I'm in neutral when my foot is on the gas...so I switched to sports mode and downshifted to 4th gear...I regain control of the car. I have no other problems on my way home, which was about a 20 mile drive.

So this morning. I leave my job at again at 3am. I'm hoping there's nothing severe with my transmission and I take the same route home. I'm thinking I won't replicate the problem. Same area, I start driving up the hill(Note:This isn't a steep hill, just a slight incline), SAME THING HAPPENS. So I'm thinking "Okay, let me switch to D4 so I can regain control like I did on Sunday. NOPE...car isn't responding to any gear. I pull over and my car is shut off. Red battery light on, red oil light on, VSA light is on. The lights on the dash was lit up like I was about to start the car. I attempt to start it a few times...nothing. So I wait for about 5 minutes. I attempted to start it again after 5 minutes...car cuts back on, I switch to drive, and it drives normal!?!? Tranny issue more than likely? What are my options and what's wrong? Thanks.

Red oil light is a problem with oil level. It could be that when you go up the hill it moves the fluid to the back causing this problem. Check all your fluid levels then get back with what you find. Check tranny fluid also

low trans fluid will do that... i had that happen before on previous transmission when it ws underfilled..

i also had than happen when trans was on it's way out.. it did all sorts of wack shit... but hopefully its just a lack of fluid... but just remember that increases the heat in the trans and like has dmaged the clutches whether it's good after u top it up or not..

so whoever is responsible should see the car BEFORE u top it up so they are LIABLE..

good luck
