Did I get ripped for my Extended warrenty???

I'm new here on the forum and wanted to know how bad did they rip me for???
Its a 4/60k bumper to bumper,roadside service,towing up to 150 miles,free rental etc...
I paid 1900 for it,well I'm financing it.My question is should I cancel it and is there something better in Miami,Florida??????or Ft.Lauderdale.
I keep seeing others paying as much as I did but have longer coverage please, some advice will be cool. Thanks

Btw my car has 60.9k miles on it.

4YR-50,000 is standard so you are paying all that money for a 10,000 mile plan.

Yea, you paid too much.
Go here for a quote http://www.curryacuracare.com/index.cfm#

I paid 850 for a 7YR-70,000 plan, but prices have since gone up a bit.

Wait a minute..... your car already has 61,000 miles on it ???
Does this mean they extended it to 100,000 miles?

I guess that’s not too bad then.
Just make sure it’s an official AcuraCare plan, not some 3rd party one.
Otherwise you may have a problem when it comes time to make a claim.
1,900 still seems like a lot of money.

I hope you did not get the Postcard through the mail and called the number. Call the BBB and see how may complaints they have. I think there a scam. And $1900 yes you paid to much. Cancel if its not too late.

And forget about CurryAcrua why ..read the fine print **Florida residents cannot purchase from this site. Please check with your local dealer. Applications with Florida addresses will be rejected**

Man oh man.

Did they at least give you vaseline or KY???

Search is your friend, my friend.

First of all, at least your dealer will service your car.

My dealer has much difficulty accepting 3rd party warranties....to the point he will not accept them since it is so hard to get paid.

As far as search, I did a pst about 2 months ago regarding a group buy on warratnies.

I paid 1165 for a 7 year 100,000 mile warranty from Acura Care.

Oh with a big zerodeductible

YUP….. That’s where I got mine.
After I paid I got all the official paperwork & wallet cards from Honda/Acura on the warranty extension with all the benefits explained in detail.

I haven’t used it yet, but it looks fine.

EXACTLY…. That is why I always try and sway people away from them.
Dealers are having troubles getting paid so they are refusing service without prepayment.

Some of the worst ones actually required YOU to pay the bill and then they will reimburse you.
Then they will argue the cost with you and you’re screwed.

And worst of all, these places go under all the time and then you’re really out of luck.

FWIW I paid under $1k for a 6yr/100k Acura warranty with zero deductable. At the time I had about 14k miles and the car was almost a year old. Prices have gone up a bit, but you should have contacted several dealers to see how much an Acura warranty would have been....

I take it you got this car used? When did you get this warranty?
You cannot get a Acura warranty after the factory warranty runs out, so 3rd parties are all that's available. Unless the car was a certified Acura.

They tack the yrs/miles on to the existing warranty? or just extend the original 4/50 to 7/100 for example?

Same here, got my 4yr/50000 miles extend to 5yr/60000 by it being certified. Then paid the 1000 to take it to 7yr/100000 bumper to bumper acura warranty. not a bad deal as far as i'm concerned. i've covered for another 4 and a half years
