I can get a 99 E55 AMG with 25k miles for about 25K!!! Should I buy it? Those of you who know me know the huge salary i make (). But , i can't help thinking about it over and over and over and over..... you get the point? Somebody talk me out of it. I feel like an alcoholic right now...

No offense, but I find it funny when people ask if they should buy things like this...

if you wanted it, you'd already have bought it

if you needed it, you'd already have it

Now asking if it's of good quality would be another thing, but asking if you should buy in in general never made sense to me...

Sounds like you need justification... i'd pass...

But like they say, Sounds too good to be true...

Why do you want it? The 99 E55 AMG doesn't have the supercharged engine either, it's not the monster the current one is.

It's not the monster the new one is but it's still a mid to low 13 sec 1/4 mile car. That's pretty fast. 25k sounds like a good deal too.

Gotta agree with Siggy on this one ... you'll know if you need, want, can afford it ... then you pull the trigger without asking us ... sounds like a pretty good deal otherwise.

By the by ... better figure in the cost of maintaining the beast ... those MB reps will spot you from a mile away.

I'd bet the maintenance and repair bills would be a giant killer, especially from a dealer. Consider more than the price of admission to the driver's seat.

I was trying to figure out what a Delima was... I was thinking it was a new car or something... haha...

so about your DILEMMA...

if money's tight I wouldn't do it. the '99E55 is nice and all but it's not monster like the new one. it's not really worth diving headfirst into in my opinion. a really nice car however.

That seems kinda cheap however if everything is OK with it and you want to upgrade to 4 doors then buy the sucker.

0-60 in 4.8 and 13.3 in the 1/4 sure sounds like a monster to me. If you got the dough go for it 25k is a steal.

For 25K, I would go for it. Be sure to check the car VERY well.

Get the car, plus $4k in engine mods (renntech stage 2) and you can hit high 12s with some sticky tires.
