Delayed Throttle Response

any idea as to what might cause this. Ive been driving my parents 00 TL for a few days, and when i got back into my CL, the throttle response seems very delayed. Intake seems to be taking in air, making noise, but car doesnt go anywhere (not fast), ive become like a civic ricer with a loud car that doesnt move. Im tempted to sell this car in all honesty, even with intake, headers, exhaust it does not seem like its putting out the power it technically should be

The TL and CL are the same car with same engine and trannies. I suggest you look into your IMRC to see if its broken. There shouldnt be that much of a difference in power especically since yours is modded, the CL should be faster.

dude, our cars are inconsistent. especially with more bolt on's. our ecu is very self adjusting and try's to compensate for the bolt on's that we put on. try it again in another week or reset your ecu. some days my car will be just as slow as civics and i feel like selling it to. but i also have days where i romp on 335i's

Were the drivers afflicted with down syndrome?

My car had this problem too actually but it was fixed when I cleaned my throttle body

u might have too much slack in the tb cable and/or the imrc cable. seafoam the car, either the spray they seafoam or the liquid seafoam. look at the diy page on the tl side. i think their 2-3 diy on how to properly do the seasfoam methods

Lol thank you for not flaming. Do you by chance know the cost of one? I figure if its under 50$ I may as well replace it b/c from my understanding they frequently go out and my car has 130k miles.

Since you have the automatic, this can be a number of things. Assuming your transmission is in good shape, it could just be that your CL transmission takes a little longer to drop to a lower gear automaticly when you press the gas. I recommend you put it in Triptronic in 1 gear only and see if it still heitates when you press the gas. If it doesn't lag, then all this means is that your CL takes a little longer to drop down gears then your TL.

The runners or the IMRC motor? Sometimes the motor goes out. I remember seeing it for $80, but that wasnt list. Its rare that the runners themselves would sieze.
