Decision: What color should I repaint the car?

Due to many circumstances, I have been forced to repaint the whole car. It has a lot of small dents here and there, tiny scratches, but what really was the deciding factor is that my car was purposely keyed a few days ago (only 3 days after I picked up my repainted bumper). Affected areas are drive rear and front fender, and door. one long ass white line basically.

So everytime I look at my car, it looks great as NBP, but since i have the opportunity to change the color of the whole car, I'm considering other options. I'm just tossing up ideas such as ABP, pearl white, etc.

Cliffnotes: bastard keyed my car, going to repaint whole car, what i get done.

and the pictures:

you can see the scratch on the driver side... hideous

Ugh thats shitty man, seriously would like to find the people that did this to your car. I really like how it looks with the front lip in NBP.

NBP or Pearl White

are you looking for a custom color, or factory look? I'd say go ABP or like a Gunmetal..maybe even a flat black?

nothing flashy, just want a nice subtle color, doesn't have to be factory.

with nbp, it looks nice and subtle, but you can barely make out the lines of the car... sometimes its just a black blob...

anyways, UCI freshmen think they're still in HS... still immature...

ross says carbon black from the e46 m3. it is very similar to NBP with much more blue in it.

I hope you can afford to do it right if you want to change the color. Doing it right means door jambs, engine bay, under the hood etc.
If you can't then paint it the stock color.

Nothing kills resale value like a car that's been half done. When the jambs, underhood and trunk are a different color, it just screams rice to me (like primered kits on civics).

stick to stock color if your not gonna shell out to COMPLETELY paint the car. I almost cried when i seen those key marks if i knew who it was i'd kick them in the throat, that sucks.. are your shoes Rays?

Aren't you worried they will come back and do it again after you get it repainted?

volk ce28n

i'm somewhat worried, but by the time the car will be done it'll be summer. then next year probably won't be able to find my car since i'll be living in an apt. might get a car cover even though it will scratch my clear coat, i rather detail my car every 4 months than repaint the whole thing again.

i don't know who it is, i have a few suspicions but they're not even people i've talked to. just some retarded ass immature bitches i yelled at for driving recklessly almost running me over. like i said i park far from people to avoid dents/scratches so my car is pretty noticeable out in the open, looks like i'll be getting a car cover

like i said earlier....carbon black would look really nice, and be close enough to NBP so that you wont need the engine bay painted.

-my car doesnt have the bay painted and i went with a different color than stock. you cant really tell unless i pointed it out to you.

-man the lip came out really nice. congrats. we will finish my rear this weekend

Bro,

your post says you live in Irvine area. That's hell on Earth my friend - temperature wise.

If I were you, I'd paint it Pearl White or the whitest white you can find! It'll keep your car much cooler and if you plan on doing bodykits or gunmetals for rims, white exterior is pretty sexy and hella clean.

I know you are saying that it will be summer time before its done, but tell me that you have full coverage insurance! With a vandalism claim, your rates will not go up due to its a NO-FAULT Claim.......atleast this will take some of the burden off of paying for the WHOLE THING yourself!

i'm trying to approach it in the way that i will benefit the most. if it is him, which i'm 30% positive, then i would like him to pay for the damages.... i don't feel like getting back at him by keying his car will solve anything

i will go with nbp but i'm not going to murder it out.... i hate it, no definition lol. i'll tint the white portion of the tailights to look oem. thinking of painting the trim, but not all of it... as for the grill, not sure if i want the titan19 grill or just paint the grey portion (non chrome) nbp.

thanks for the help guys =D makes me feel a bit better...

oh yeah next projects if i have time: projector 3000k fogs, led license plate 2 lights
