Is this dealer on crack?

Looking at this car, I'm thinking the dealer is on crack.
Click here to see a weird price.

Especially for the mileage. I mean, he should be asking like 7-8k less for that car.

lol... $24k... It's not like the guy even put on that it had navi... and not even certified? What a joke, phew... Clearly, the guy is out to lunch with it. Or, ya never know--a fool and his money is easy to part, and we all know how many there are in this world. A lot of people see a price tag and assume that's what the price is and never do any research, and when the guy gives it to them for $22k, they think they got a deal.

Yep. Crack head! For the milage anyway. When my ex was buying her 6spd, they were asking $28,900 but it had 37k on it. We almost walked away without taking a further look after seeing hte price. The mark up was rediculous! I'm guesing they have a market for that car and they jacked the price way up to see how many suckers they can get. Frappin' stealerships!

If this thing sells I'm putting mine up for sell instantly, with nearly 100k miles on it.

It is Montana, so someone might buy it...not sure who though.

It could be a legit price. Maybe the owners cousin came in an the salespeople were forced to give them a great trade in price. They probably figure they can start out high (looking for a sucker), and if it doesn't sell, they can lower the price to move it. No one knows except for the dealer why this is so highly priced. There are lots of reason why they price things the way they do.

I see alot of certified 6spds on dealers lots for $23-24K but they usually only have like 30-40K miles.

I've seen some high prices at the dealers, but that's nuts. But you never know, some dumbass may buy it.

My 2001 in flawless cosmetic and mechanical condition other than just having the tranny replaced, sold for $17,900.00 which had Navi, SO3 tires and comptech sway bars with 78,000 miles......I guess some dumb ass bought it ?
What surprises me is you guys complain with the terrible depreciation value, but complain when they try to sell them at a decent price......its either one way or the other, not both.....

pretty nice of you to call the buyer of your car such kinda names. What surprises me is that at your age you can't tell the difference between the reality our cars having a bad resale value and the notion of something that is probably "too good to be true".

First off I was quoting another members quote about a dumb ass in Montana.
Second I was the dumb ass that traded mine in for $13,000.00 to see them sell it for $17,000.00. I guess they made up the loss on the sale of the 2004 RL I bought at a BARGAIN price ! I'm very aware of the terrible resale value of the CL's! I came out ahead, as I never had to return to a dealership in the past 17 months and 10,000 miles......gotta love it.......

dealership offered me $18,500 for my 03 6speed without even seeing it... 18K miles..

They will turn it around and sell it for 25K on their lot....

all you have to do is look on the autotrader and see what the dealerships are selling the cars for.... they might drop the price 1000.00 when you actually go to the dealership, BUT do not be fooled they are listing the cars for 24-26K and selling the CL's with ease
