DC guys with Brake problems...
hey all!
The brake saga continues....
History:
I'm sure you remember my posts where I complained about how Pohanka tried to screw me on the brakes when I continually complained about the vibration in the steering wheel but they could never find anything wrong--until 28K miles--when the car was almost undriveable. Thankfully, Acura customer service stepped in and took care of it and I got refurfacing of the rotors done for free.
Today:
Just came back from a road trip to Florida and at 36,000 miles (just 8,000 after the rotor resurfacing), the steering wheel is once again vibrating (majorly) when braking.
So I got on the Karen Radley web site and sent a message to Pam, their Acura service manager. In my email, I told her that I didn't expect the brakes to be 'comped' but that I would like them to see if Acura would help out--given the history. She called me about an hour later and told me to bring the car in and they will replace the rotors and pads...under warranty (they will be doing the TL service bulletin on my car). She also offered me a loaner car!
This dealership really makes me feel like I own a luxury car and this is why I'll drive all they way down there.
I'll report back when I pick up the car (my appointment is on Friday).

i might have to take my car to karen radley from now on....radley (falls church) sucks my left nut....i broght my car in to get a tire replaced and they put a huge scratch on my car....they said they're gonna fix it on friday....also, i witnessed one of the radley goons hit a file cabinet w/somebody's white RL...IDIOTS!
I dropped the car off last night and just got a call from Pam at Karen Radley.
The car is fixed, it has new rotors and the 2002 brake pads.
All I have to pay for is the oil change that I requested.
Interestingly, she told me that when Pohanka resurfaced my old rotors, they "severely" machined them. Plus they forgot to torque everything down.

i got a question for u. so u originally got ur rotors resurfaced at pohanka and then u brought it into karen radley and they replaced it under warranty? thats awesome...i got my rotors resurfaced and pads replaced at radley, but i dont feel a diff in the braking, it still sucks......do u think karen radley will hook me up too?? just curious...
Call or email Pam at Karen Radley's Acura service Dept and ask her (www.radleyauto.com). I think after what they found today, it validated my concern (which I expressed to her at the 30K appointment) over Pohanka doing poor service.
