does anyone think theres a chance that the current gen TL cluster would fit in a CL? wiring issues aside...

true...i'd like to get my hands on a gauge cluster from a wrecked TL or something and give it a shot. i think it'd be a unique mod...

 

It'd be nice as hell, but a pain in the ButtAWWWWKS I'm sure. Try it and post pics up. Do the RSX steering wheel mod too. DO IT!

 

yea i'm sure it'd be a PITA just like my LED mod, but in the end it'd probably be worth it. whats so great about the RSX steering wheel?

 

smaller sportier wheel....it'd be like replacing it with a MOMO but instead you still have factory looks and cruise. no steering/radio function though

well i dont have any current pics of the LED mod, plus the new really bright LED's i put behind the cluster is giving me some problems but it looks more and more like a possibility that i'll be ATTEMPTING to do a current gen TL cluster transplant in the next month or so, i found one from a junkyard for relatively cheap and already found someone very experienced in wiring and i'm setting up an appointment with someone who can modify the dash...i just hope this works!

 

Can someone please, pretty please post pics of the 3rd gen TL gauges. Preferably day and night. Thanks fellas.

 

just do a google image search, they look the same day and night since theyre always illuminated...well after talking to my wiring guy, it seems like i might have a problem. the current gen TL uses an F-CAN communications circuit that the CL does not have...among other things, the TL's VSA and ABS utilizes that circuit. looks lke this might not work after all
