CT Sway bars

I have a chance to get basically new CT Sways. Is it true the rear one is basically pointless to install, due to it's size being the same as stock? Should I sell it and upgrade to an '04 TL bar?

its the front that is the exact same size...the rear is atleast 2mm larger but if i remember it's 3 stock 19 comp 22 ? but on the front what is still in question is the wall thickness...stock is hollow and so to is the comp but were told the wall thickness is greater but never got an answer on how much...

yeah, when i installed my bars, the fronts look the same, but the comptech sway is def considerably heavier. the rear is what is MOST important. good luck.

Still speculation on the front wall thickness.

The rears:
Stock - 19mm
CT - 22mm
Eibach - 23mm

Interesting that on the 04 TL, they only sell the rear bar. Others have purchased the 04 TL rear bar and have had good success with it on the CL.

I went from a set of Comptech sways to the Neuspeed set with the rear race bar. I was pleasantly surprised that the difference is significant between the two.

In my opinion we only really need the rear bar.
I have the Eibach rear installed only and it feels nice.
A stiffer front bar increases understeer, which I assume you're trying to eliminate.

So if you install both you're removing some of the effects of the rear bar but eliminating some front body roll.

yeah the rear made the main difference for me... the rear end came around much quicker...but for the front you can get the CT Strut bar and maybe the cusco underbody tie bar... thats wht my plan is...

Hey Allout, could you elaborate on the nuespeed rear race bar? Is that something seperate from the regular 19mm rsb that neuspeed sells for the 2G CL? And the handling was improved over your previous comptech setup?? Thanks man!

The rear race sway bar by Neuspeed as been discontinued. It was something like 26mm thick, maybe too thick for our endlinks.
