ct icebox

got my ct icebox from excelerate and installed them 2 days ago. i also intalled the tb spacer and k&n filter replacement for the ct icebox. i have read that you can do the install w/o removing the bumper, but after looking at it i think its easier to just go ahead and remove the bumper. it's not that hard and you dont have to bend anything out of the way or squeeze into tight spots. it's all of maybe 10 clips and screw & it makes the intall so much easier imo. i didn't install the manifold spacer that came with the outlaw kit yet...that will have to be another day. the ct kit with k&n filter does sound more aggressive than stock but not so much that it is annoying. sounds better, feels better, more gas mileage, overall....
thanks to excelerate for the parts and all the guys on this forum for introducing me to the wonderful world of MODS.

Put up a DIY. So you had to pay an extra 50$ for the K&N? Is the CT filter pretty bad?

The DIY isn't really necessary. If you search, there are a couple directions on doing the install, and if he is recommending removing the bumper, then the directions will be the same as the ones from Comptech.

The K&N replacement filter is a lot better than the one from CT, IMO. The foam filter is not bad, it's just that the K&N is better.

If you tinker around with your car enough, you can do it yourself

P.S. I have a fetish of taking my car apart and putting it back together when it's not raining. (Mainly the engine and its compenants.)
