Coolant Smell

Hey guys,
Recently I have been noticing a coolant smell after driving my car (01 CLS). Last night I changed the oil and did not notice any coolant leaks. I rarely use the AC. The car has ~75k on it.
Should I take it into the dealer?

It could be a very small leak that you don't notice. Do you see any liquids under the car after it has been parked all night?

Thanks, I'll try that tonight. I did fill the coolant reservoir last night, because it was dry...

Check your heater core under your dash. If they go bad you can smell coolant.

I was thinking that too, but it's such a newer car I didn't think it would be a problem already.
It's common on old cars.

Thanks guys.
I don't smell it inside the car unless the windows are open. I took a peek under the hood with a buddy and he noticed some dried green substance below the thermostat housing. I spoke with a tech at my local Acura dealer and he said it could be a loose hose, cracked housing or bad gasket. He also said there is pretty much no way it's the head gasket. They'll check it out Saturday.

take it in to a shop for a radiator check up... it should be free, but if they find leaks or busted host... they charge for repair
