It depends on what you want!!

The comptechs will lower your car a bit and come real close to keeping the stock ride. They are only 10% stiffer than stock.

The eibachs are lower and stiffer than the comptechs. They are about 25% stiffer than stock, so you will get a stiffer ride.

True! Eibach's are stiffer than the Comptechs. I had the Comptechs on my 2001 and when I got the 2003 I decided to put Eibachs on to get a more even lowering (didn't like the Comptech rake). It does ride harsher, but you can't get everything.

Just installed eibachs two days ago. I can see a big difference. The ride is not harsh at all.

In my opinion, the Eibach spring was more specifically designed for the weight of the Accord. When you put them in the TL/CL, you get more drop due to the additional weight. Since the springs are progressive with rising spring rates as you compress, they appear stiffer because they're moving out of the softer section of the spring.

As far as Comptech, my springs had tags from a manufacturer out of San Leandro I think. They were definitely not from Eibach unless this shop in San Leandro just did their quality control work. Comptech is the only company that I've seen that measures their spring rates and matches up sets. Each spring has a definite location on the car (i.e. - front left, front right...)

Just as AztecRol said, it depends on what you want. I like the Comptech because I still have good wheel travel so ride is still good and lowered CG enough to improve handling. Adjustable struts do the rest depending on how hard I want to run.

I don't have any subs. I will post pics sometime today after I give it a good wash. I have a set of 18"racing hart cp-8. They have a +48 offset. My tires are Nitto 555's 225/40/18.

Eibach: you will more than likely need a camber kit unless you want to buy tires every 10k miles.

Comptech: NO camber kit is needed and Acura delaers will install these springs. I have had them for 5k miles and no uneven wear at all on my tires.

That reason alone made me decide on the Comptech springs and I love them.

Good luck..

JIM..

How about a comparison between Comptech and HR OE? According to the threads, they seem to be designed to achieve the same goal. Lower ride height and near stock ride. Which has the best overall ride/handling tradeoff?

I have Eibach springs in my car for about 12K miles now. The first 9K were fine, but now I'm noticing the ride becoming a little harsher than before. It think this is mainly due to the fact that the roads here are f@#king awful. I mean it, I must look like a drunk driver to others becuase I swerve all over the road to avoid potholes. It is terrible. You are in Cali, so I really wouldnt worry about the extra stiffness. I bet your roads are smooth as hell. Seriously, when Im on smooth roads I wouldnt have it any other way. Stock feels too bouncy to me now. I cant wait to move to San Diego with my soon to come 2K3 6spd!

All in all, I love how the car sits and it is worth the harshness because of the better handling and especially the more agressive sleek apperance that turns heads (mostly my head).

Good luck

CA roads are not as good as everyone thinks! The in-town freeways are very choppy concrete. The asphalt rural highways are mostly fine.

If you're going for a lower ride height for looks, then don't go with the OEs, the drop would barely be noticeable. The Comptechs also offer a minimal drop, but not as insignificant, you will be able to tell the difference.
