By "is it worth it" Do you mean is it worth it for the performance or for the looks? If you want to spend money simply for performance, dont do it...it's not worth it. The gains may be so little it doesnt justify the cost. But if you are doing it for looks, that's totally subjective...then go for it!

There are some .wav files on the Acura-TL.com site that might help.

Here is the link:

I agree, they didn't do much for me either. I would not be convinced to buy.

I agree with synth19, the marginal gains in performance are not worth it. Headers, maybe but not exhaust. I prefer the quiet of the stock pipes. Sleeper, all the way!

The sound is very nice, especially at low RPMs. It's a nice burble; nothing like the wave file sound. It doesn't get louder with more RPM; in fact it seems a bit less loud. The look is much better than stock. It doesn't look or sound like a fart-pipe on a Civic.

If I didn't already have it, there are other mods I would get first, namely sways. But is it worth $600 for an axle-back exhaust? Is the Mugen axle-back worth $1,300?

Its worth it if you got it for an, extremely low price that can't be mentioned... ;D
But I might sell them sooo... anyone know if they are 'much' louder than stock?? I'm too lazy to put them on and find out they suck. I don't want it too loud, but the stock exhaust right now is giving me a hissing sound.

i have never liked the look of the comptech exhaust....but then again i only saw pictures so it probably distorts it...i think i am one of the few people that thinks the stock exhaust and wheels look better than any to come out yet

I really like the way our stock exhaust looks, and the stock exhuast has a burble too, just once you install headers and intake...they drown it out...the wheels are nice too...but then I need a slightly more aggressive look for my wheels.

The sound is very mellow and nice. It never fails to turn heads when I start up- not loud- just good. Of the 20 or more people who have wanted to check out the exhaust- 19 have purchased it after hearing it. Must mean something
