Coilovers or Comptech Springs and different shocks??? Please HELP!

I am looking to get either Coilovers or new shocks to compliment my Comptech Springs.....and I was wondering which was a better choice? I am not sure what brand of Coilovers, or shocks I would pick. If you guys could give me your input it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance....

I think you already asked this, but you can't go wrong with Comptech springs and Koni Yellows.

ummm...are you happy with your comptechs? If not, what about them do you not like?

Are you willing to spend the bucks and go with coilovers and pay the installation fee again?

This is a personal decision, make it on your own by doing some research on this site....

You will have to reinstall everything if you get new shocks too, so don't let EricS fool you with that "installation again for the coilovers" thing.

If you want to go lower, you will most likely wish to get coilovers (Tein or NEX are good).
If you like the height the comptechs give, but want a bit more performance get Koni yellows.

if you don't mind spending a little extra money i'd say go for the coilovers, i've heard great things about the tiens. You could also sell your comptech springs to make up for the price difference. Comptechs and koni's should ride nice, but if you want a little more options i'd say go w/ the tiens

and if you want a good deal on some coilovers let me know, i can get you a good deal on the tiens.

Every three days this question has been asked for the past two weeks.

For the NEX SS coilovers:

$650/set SHIPPED

Vendor Name Elite Motorsports
Contact Instructions

7405 S.212th suite#101
Kent, Wa 98032
253-872-2828
email: elitemotorsports@qwest.net

Ask for Adam.

Just call and ask him if the group buy price of $650/set is still valid. Tell them you saw their groupbuy at www.groupbuycenter.com

You want the Accord V6 '98-'01 Nex SS coilovers.

They should still honor that price. Let me know if they don't so I can stop recommending them.

They gave me great service and fast shipping. Other people here have ordered from them too.

Here's a link to the group buy:

okay little ones

here's some knowledge from someone who has a lot of suspensions in the short 6 months of ownership of the CL-S

I had the following suspensions:

Ground-Control Coilover/sleeves with Koni Yellows -
handled great! but rode really rough

Stock shocks and h&r sports - nice ride and low drop. I liked this one and really don't know why I changed it

Eibach Pro-kit and koni yellows - soft ride, low drop, bottomed out a lot. I was not happy with this combo

Apex'i coilovers - adjustable height, hangs corners great, kinda bumpy but it was b/c I had the car slammed. I had to get these for the OZ Superleggras b/c I was rubbing like crazy.

Question just PM me...

Damn, why's everyone bustin my balls lately? Ya'll are touchy about your suspensions :P

~900 vs. ~600
900/600 = 1.5 ~ 2 :P

BTW,
Someone should compile a list of spring rates for what all is available for the CL and give it to Chod for his FAQ. Take a look here for an example of what I've thrown together for the MR2 guys. Pictures are worthless for coilovers though, since the height is adjustable, but spring rates should be good enough to tell what the ride quality is like.

I'll start the contributions:

TEINs: 392lbs/in, 224lbs/in
