Checked between my radiator & condensor

Found enough feathers, bugs and plant matter to make an eagles nest.

Thought I'd suggest others take a look.

The fans came out very easily & I sprayed water from the fan side into the radiator and it all washed away.

Just a heads up.

I had not either.

It is hidden by the plastic cover. I removed it to install a transmission cooler and while it was off looked around, I could not believe the amount of junk in there.

How was the install on the transmission cooler?

I picked up a B&M Cooler a few months back and have the Comptech Mounting Brackets.

Still awaiting install.

On the topic of cleaning, I wonder how many people change their cabin filter.

I'd do anything for my Integra to have a cabin filter. So much crap gets into the evaporator that over a long period of time if it's not well taken care of, it will stink pretty damn bad. That's the case I'm in right now. I bought my Integra used and I don't think the previous owner ever had the AC unit cleaned.

I changed mine a few months back.

Something that is now part of my yearly service on the CL.

Great DIY maintenance item.

The hard part was running the hoses. No need to pull the bumper cover full access under the black plastic liner that sits behind the bumper in front of the radiator core.

I replaced my cabin filter a few months ago the old one was not that bad, the PO was almost as up on maintenance as I am.

About an hour and a half including a couple of five minute "breaks"

I got the cooler about five years ago for my 3.0 CL after the tranny died, the shop that rebuilt it said it was not necessary so it has been sitting all this time.

It looks just like the one Comptech sells, it is the LPD4452, the 27 plate unit.

That is the 4589 36 plate look at the box I posted. Apparently they are all made by the same company. Mine looks exactly like that except less plates.

Does it have patent numbers and say CANADA?

I'll have to take a look at it again.

It's packed in a box again.

I usually just run compressed air between the radiator or condensor to get rid of bugs and other small items. Gets the job done right .

How is blowing it into the fans doing it right? I spent 10 seconds per bolt, removed the fans, sent the debris that was stuck in the radiator back out the way it came & then cleaned it all out of the tray.

Total time including putting away the hose/ratchet <5 minutes, and years of junk completely gone.

It's compressed air it'll blow it out of the fan. My point was using compressed air in the front and back of the radiator. Most of the dirt and bugs that are collected are in the front. My intercooler on my MR2 collected a lot of bees, I used compressed air and they were gone in a second.

Exactly, they are collected in front so when blown from the front they are blown into the radiator. The path of least resistance is out the way it came.

Okay so why not use compressed air the other way, from the fan moving forward. Don't get me wrong, i'm not saying your way is incorrect or my way is correct. I just prefer to do it this way.
