Check This Out!!!!!!!

Might be a repost but here u are...285HP!!!!!w/ just an ECU change. This is for all those that doubted me when I said the 04TL produces 20 more whp than an 01-03 CL-S auto. But like I said...it might be a repost.

Not bad. i'd love to see an ECU reprogramming. I hope they are right about that being a hint of whats to come from Acura .. if the TL SOHC 3.2 with the ECU tuned down can make that, the next NSX will be incredible. Might change the future of the S2000 as well .. and the next gen CL

"Imagine what will happen with the typical intake, exhaust and header modification (although the latter will not likely be as productive as it was on early J32s thanks to the new integrated exhaust manifold)."

Hey they're talking about us.

Maybe Comptech will release an ECU upgrade instead of headers. could you imagine that .. HP equivalent to a header change in a CL just from a 5 minute computer swap?

OK...we have a ecu reprogrammer at work. What we do is plug into the OBDII conector and upload some info..then connect to a PC and download updates from Acura's website and then upload them into the ecu of the vehicle. The 04 MDX and 04 TL currently have service bulletins for random complaints that we use this to fix them. All of this means that a simple plug and re-program is possible cause it's being done right now by us. They just have to wait until an aftermarket company figure out how to do it. And I guarrentee Hondata is invesigating this as we speak Only a matter of time til someone offers ecu flashes for the 04TL's. And Hondate is like $600 for the RSX so I don't believe it will be too much more. Now if we can somehow figure out a way of installing an 04TL ecu in our CL-S's

This dyno is good news BUT lets not misinterpret the info. There is no mention of power to weight ratios of the NSX vs. the TL. The NSX's overall performance still makes better use of the similiar engine. Of course the TL has more torque. It is built to haul 4. It needs it. Plus, the NSX is much cooler.

Not taking away from the TL, but as far as I'm concerned we are still talking apples and oranges.

BTW. Why was the icon moving on the navi while the TL was on the dyno

That was the bect part. The Navi's uses the cars instrumentation, and sensors to tell where the car is going with occasional, and that info is cross checked with satellites in orbit, in certain intervals.

On the dyno, everything was telling the Navi, the car was moving real fast, so thats what it showed, as it was inbetween checks with the satellite.

"Breadcrumbs," guys. When your navi loses signal, the speed/yaw rate sensors in the car calculate where you are until you get signal again.

Yep...Navi lost signal from satelitte due to being indoors so the Navi will use the gyro sensor and vehicle speed to determine actual movements..
