My car is doing the same things as rondog's car. When I drive the car it seem fine but soon as you stop the car revs like crazy. Plus the car does not seem as fast as it use to be, can't wait to change the O2 sensor.

 

As Stumpy said and as I am sure Ant will agree ,time to just get the code read .Cars do wacky things for a myriad of reasons .I could probably rattle off a dozen reasons why the lights are on or why the car is not running right etc.but the bottom line is let's start with the known facts ,symptoms and fault codes then we can speculate and even make what is known as an "educated guess"

yeah you have to get it read first, an o2 sensor isn't cheap. also, you can't just replace the sensor, it'll just get damaged again. in my case I have to relocate the bung a few degrees off to avoid re damaging it.

 

car was alright last nite and today, on the way to school 2 hrs ago and it acted up again

goin to the dealer tommorw

 

car is idling very weird when i am at idle speeds, i cant wait to get this fixed,

oh btw

my car is guzzling gas like no other, ever since this has happened i have gone like 90 miles on half a tank.
