Check engine light
Check engine light
Well, just spent 4 days down in Palm Springs...damn it was hot. Anyway, got home a couple hours ago and decided I needed to drive the CL-S to buy some milk for the morning latte. She barely choked to a start but finally turned over. Started to back out the driveway and the CHECK ENGINE light pops on. Doh! Drove it to the store and back and nothing seemed weird, but the light never went away. Guess she'll be visiting Acura this weekend.
BTW, she's been leaking oil for the past 3 weeks. Maybe 5-6 drops overnight. Oil levels are fine. When the car was up on a lift last week for installing the dyno air (bung??) I noticed the oil seemed to be coming from a seal near the tranny? Any Service bulletin's on this or is it my S/C tearing the car apart from the inside-out?

Go to Autozone first, and check the code yourself for free. If it's not bad, reset the light. If it comes back, bring it to the dealer. Save yourself a headache.
As for the tranny leaking, that's a seperate issue. You may have a broken seal somewhere.
Hope you liked So. Cal, I just came back from Seattle (Renton), you missed the cold weather today.

Ya know, I do golf occasionally w/ friends - but I'm not a die-hard golfer. That's really all Palm Springs had to offer - golf. That's it. Nothing more. Nada. Ziltch. Well, there was alot of sunshine...but who needs that? Nice place, just not enough variety for me.
^^^^^Unless you're into Indian Casino's. When I was passing through there a few weeks ago, it seemed like there were quite a few around that area.
As far as the leak, I had something similar. They had to replace the inner axle seal. Mine was doing the same - just a few drops.
Are your connections to your ESM crimped or soldered? I know Comptech's new kit now includes solder connections included. Red Rider and cls6sp03 both had that problem so that may be a consideration.

Good luck chasing that one down.

you stick a paperclip in the connector and the light will start to flash long flashes and short ones which will mean a code
