CEL flashing...plus
CEL flashing...plus
this thing does not want to rev to redline...the cel flashes when i try it feels as if the cam will not switch over but...that may not be it....i did just fill up last night and today this started...could i have got bad gas? runs fine below 5K does not fuel cut ...also might i have a bad plug or ignition coil...cant get it to throw a hard code it just flashes afraid to stay at 5K+ for too long....im gonna check the front three plugs tonight
are you talking about revving the engine while the car is in park or nuetral? Because I don't think the car will let you rev it to redline unless you are in gear. It's a safety thing. At least that's what I've always thought. Anyone else?

Bad gas won't cause the car to to flash the MIL.... does it re-limit at 5K? A faulty cam position or crank position is usually the cause for this... although the crank position sensor will put a rev-limit at 2K RPMs.
Re-check all the connections for the Unichip etc... which is probably the culprit!

random multiple misfires in all cylinders, plus possible ignition system...i guess what im asking here is if my gas station sold me gas that was labled 93 but was really 89 or even 87 could i get these symptoms? wouldnt the lower oct gas detonate under load?

I thought you said there was no DTC? Random multiple misfires could be a gas issue... but also could be some loose connection with the Unichip if it is persistent. Try better gas and reset the DTC's.
