Carlsbad Raceway Results!

W00T! What a blast! Mike, myself, and CLPower all showed as well as two of my employees - one with a 2000 vette, the other with a Camaro (he had slicks and Nos! ran a 12.08!)

Here's the best shot of me:

A full slate of pictures are at:

http://albums.photopoint.com/j/Album...605&a=11371442

Pictures were kinda hard to get - we had another friend taking shots from the bleachers with my still digicam and Mike's digivideocam...I'm sure he'll post those later.

In the meantime, here are the stills.

With my stock CL-S - best time in the 1/4 was 15.264.

1st race - I spun my tires all the way to redline (no one ever taught me what backpedaling was and the track was slick) - I didn't burn my tires at all and I was pretty miserable after the run. I went against my friends Vette - both of us had problems

2nd race - I went vs. Mike - long story short, I got the better jump but his headers pulled on me toward the end... he took it by 16/100ths of a second.

3rd race - I went vs. another vette (omg, with slicks) - another good race for me...

Here's the slip info:

Stock 2001 CL-S w/spoiler and a 240lb driver.

1st race: (remember, I spun my wheels all the way through 1st)
Reaction - .855
60ft - 2.745
330ft - 7.288
1/8 ET - 10.776
1/8 MPH - 71.82
1/4 ET - 16.268
1/4 MPH - 91.41

2nd race: (vs Mike - his times are in () for a comparison )
Reaction - .774 (.666)
60ft - 2.371 (2.390)
330ft - 6.523 (6.524)
1/8 ET - 9.868 (9.849)
1/8 MPH - 73.66 (74.02)
1/4 ET - 15.267 (15.213)
1/4 MPH - 81.60 (81.84)

3rd race: My best
Reaction - .680
60ft - 2.431
330ft - 6.550
1/8 ET - 9.880
1/8 MPH - 73.87
1/4 ET - 15.264

Yes, there's one of Scott.

tw1112, we had a blast. The only bummer is that it was ~85 degrees and crowded.

Yeah it was abnormally hot yesterday! Are there always that many people there? It looked really crowded?

In you last run, 81 MPH is that too low, Even the 16 sec run was at 91 MPH. Please coould you check your numbers.

Yeah but his 91mph run was after spinning his tires. That would give him a little more speed off the line....when he got off the line that is. His second run and third runs were pretty close together...both at around 81mph.

Yeah, the numbers are right - I thought that was strange, too - but I did really spin my tires on that first run... all the way through first...

As far as the vette goes - he had slicks...one set of tires
