nav screen

Is there any way I can put back the star screen after using the nav/ac/map?

I wish there is some kind of 3D animation we can put on the nav screen, instead of having the stationary stars.. i've seen some after market cd decks with this feature. maybe acura will have this in their next dvd release.

hit the button next to the clock ('setup') and there's a button to turn 'off' the screen...it doesnt' turn off but goes to the star screen. if you hit one of the buttons on the side, it brings you back to the nav menu w/o going through the disclaimer screen.

At the setup screen the button is "display off" which is on the left side of the "display brightness" sliding bar.

In the new software version, the USS Enterprise will come zooming out of the stars aka Star Trek 1968 j/k of course.

I think they will start to do more things with the Navi, in the future. But they couldn't get carried away initially because the type of person that wants and uses the Navi is not interested in all types of gadgets, gimmicks, and overly complicated features. They're trying to keep it as simple as they can. But I do think they have room to add an "advanced" mode.

Gotta say, the last thing I want on my dash is some type of Microsoft-like shooting stars. The distraction would drive me nuts. I actually wish I could eliminate them and have only the clock.

Ken, you need to get out more - or maybe that is "in more"

I had been waiting a long time to integrate this into a thread, without starting a new one.

Yeh, pathetic huh?
