car wont start

car was running fine yesterday
tonite it won't start!
facts:
viper alarm beep sounds different than normal
gas gauge doesn't raise when the key is in the ignition on the electric position
headlights won't turn on, but parking lights do
when trying to start all that i hear is rapid clicking sounds

dead battery?
anybody agree? have any ideas?

I have extended warranty and roadside assistance, will they come and jump it if it is a dead battery?

ANY ADVICE PLEASE... im supposed to be going somewhere right now so it sucks

all the lights turn on within the gauges like it would normally on start up.
as for codes being thrown from the alarm, there is none.
also the windows won't roll down.

just wanna clarify, no codes that i can tell from the car either
someone left the dome light on in my car a couple of night ago for a couple of hrs...
but the car started up fine and i drove 30 plus miles home, took the car out for a couple miles last night and everything was normal..

sounds like a dead battery.

jumping it should get you started and running, but the battery is likely toast if it is the original and older than 3 years.

roadside assistance should be able to get you jumpstarted.

rapid click sounds come from relays getting crazy. either your battery is dead, your terminals are contaminated with oxidation, poor main wire ground - very rarely

wow. i don't what to say. that's cos i don't know shit about our car's electronics. hang in there, and someone will answer. for the meantime, try searching for problems associated with your alarm. sounds kinda fishy to me.

Battery is 6 feet deep. A new one will solve all issues. Trust the people who say and know it's a dead battery. More than likely we've changed out way too many so we never freak when the occasion arises.
