Car not starting when it's cold
Has anyone experienced a car where it just randomly chooses not to start when it's cold out sometimes? Every year during spring/summer/fall it'll start up fine with no issues. When the cold months roll around, it just dies...to the point where the remote doesn't even open the doors since there's not enough power in the car.
Probably not starter or alternator since with a simple jump the car will start back up every year.
Car is stock with exception of shock sensors on headlights but don't see why winter would make a difference with this.
TIA

Make sure you don't buy a cheap battery. If you look on a battery, you need to concern yourself with cold crank amps and not just the higher number. Some of the cheaper batteries will have a crappy cold crank amp rating and will struggle in the cold of the winter.
Also, if you just bought your battery a year ago, most places carry a battery warranty for atleast 3-6 years. If its bad, just go back to that place and have them prorate the price of your battery.

Most places in the U.S don't have block heaters to plug their car into. I think you have to get into northern Wisconsin and some frigid places like that. In NY, it probably barely gets below 10degrees F, so a block heater isn't necessary.
I am replying way too much, I wish work wasn't so boring.

I feel kinda stupid now...I guess I forgot to look at the location. This morning with wind chill it was -36 C. here.
yeah, that's definitely not supposed to be happening. Must need a new battery.
