Car max and CL

Hi just saw a 2001 Cl red with NAV. 54K about $17,000. Man I want this car.
Gave my 99 Cl to my son. Iwas thinking of getting a 2003 TL s in black but this CL looks great! What do you guys think? Do you think the Cl has less tranny problems than that 2003 TL? MY 99 Cl is running perfect
thanks

Price is too high for a 2001... You could get a 2003 for around that price...

Tranny is the same, so the possibility of issues is going to be the same... I avoided the issue all together and bought a 03 CLS 6spd...

I posted some links to 03's in another thread where we were discussing pricing and value. These are links to 6spd CL's, and you might be looking for an auto, but the pricing should be comparable between the auto and manual transmission equiped CL's.:

definitely don't pay $17k for an '01. Listen to Greenmonster and just get an '03 6 Speed for around there...you won't regret it.

I got my '02 CL TYPE S for $15K with only 41K on it. Is that car a type S? I don't remember 01 CL coming in red unless it was a type S. My car does not have Navi though....

17k is absolutely too much for that car... try and get it lowered about 4/5k

I bought my cl from carmax in chicago and had it shipped to columbia, sc.

I paid $14,998 w/ 81k miles and I have navigation and the interior is immaculate!

Dont pay 17,000 for that, you can def get it cheaper!

Go for the CAR MAX's that are in california, chicago, washington D.C , Virginia I saw that you live in SC used cars down here are way to much!!!!!! If you search in those locations for one you can get a sweet deal! The car max rep I was talking to was telling me that in the more northern states were used cars are a dime a dozen the market for them is alot cheaper, you might pay a little bit to ship it here but in the end you'll save a shit ton of money!!!

Nav was a requirmement, it was local (MkeS 18), original mature owner, garaged, never an accident, meticlously cared for, still smells new inside, yada yada... This is my first "Honda" the tranny was replaced so am hoping the typical relaibility will hold true for me

I work for the max, I just ran a check on carmax.com and didnt see any cl's. Just hit the site and you can search for anything. Itll give you prices across the country so you can compair. I actually got my TL form the Kroger parking lot though.

You wont find a 2003 CL with Nav for under $20K, unless its got a ton of miles. My 03 CL was at full retail for $25K less then a year ago.

It all matters if u are looking at a type S or not if it is that is a pretty damn good deal. When u drive a CLS u find out where the real power is!

With Navi, asking $19.5K, with 45K miles (below average mileage):

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...highlight=6spd

and that's just one of the ones I linked to in post #2 of this thread... If you search on cars.com, autotrader.com, etc, you'll find more...

I get aggravated when people make the CL 6spd sound rarer then hens teeth... I see 'em forsale at decent prices all the time... Heck, used car lot less then 2 miles from me has sold 2 6spds (SSM and NBP) in the last 4-5 months...
