car = dead :(

the damn thing wont fucking start. yesterday i had toi jump it twice and today its dead again

the only electrical type stuff i have done is a small amp/sub woofer and hid's in my fog lights. my car is 2.5 years old with the stock battery. what the hell is going on?

im guessing its the battery. if it were the alternator, the car would die after i jumped it. right or wrong?

also, i have an appointment to take the car to the dealer tomorrow. should i remove the sub and amp so they dont give me any crap about it?

did you just put the amp in? i had a problem a few years ago when i first had my amp put in my VW, it would never turn off, so it was on all night and killed the battery. other than that, not sure.

stock batteries are notorious for dying prematurely, don't worry, it's most likely your battery. the dealer will most likely prorate your battery if you're getting a new one.

I wouldn't even bother going to the dealer. Sounds like a dead battery to me. Just pick up a Optima red or yellow top, replace it yourself, & be done with it. You'll get much more use out of that then a stock battery. The dealer might not even prorate the thing & say it's normal wear & tear.

i never heard of the batteries dying prematurely, mine is still going good after 4 years. of course now that i said that it probably won't start. but if its only the battery, that is not too bad, you will be back on the road soon.
