If all he has on that Camaro is K&N shit, then my guess is that you could take him... his car has about 15 more HP stock than your car has stock. The K&N shit prolly adds about 15-25 HP. Your heads and intake would add a hell of a lot more, so I think you could get ahead. That's just my .02 based on horsepower ratings alone. Now, you have a FWD car, so HP loss is way less, but traction being an issue.... I really can't say... My guess is that it's possible, depending on if you or your friend are good drivers or not.

You should hang through 1st and 2nd then he should start leaving you. Race and see what happens, you never know.

Like everyone else said, LT1s/LS1s have a sweet 3rd gear. You might be able to hang or possibly beat him out the hole if he cant launch, but if you let him get into 3rd, you're screwed. A 15.0 1/4 mile isn't gonna cut it. Just race him and watch for cops. I just got a 'speed contest' ticket the other week.

with the stock 245 rubber thats not that hard to do...ill tell you this my friend has one and a clS i ran him twice....i get the jump and keep extending the leed all gears...now thats the 3.5 though I/H/E tires wheels pulleys...it's drivers race advantage cl ...headers/intake tires could go either way until 60-70mph then the LT will pull that's my opinion

I used to have a 95 Z28 T-top with LT1 Six-Speed. I ran 13.8 stock at the track without hard shifting. I'm sure the auto is not far off from that.. So if you are run low 14's, you might have a chance.
