CAI Install On a 6 Speed

I just got it in the mail today, ordered from no-limit 4 weeks ago, ugh. And i did a search for install instruction, because of the slight modification needed for the 6 speed, none. Can anyone shed some light on this subject, possibly some pics? Thanks.

Post your honest impressions on the gain... low-end, high-end, etc. If you happen to dyno it... please keep me posted.

hahah, nice sarcasm, that was good...anyways, i dont have a 6 speed but i know that basically the part of the CAI that goes into the throttle body needs to be shortend and you just stick the CAI into the accordian looking boot thing, not directly onto the throttlebody, thats what i understand, so i guess just go under the hood of your car and see how much you need to cut off

This is not easy to do. Lemme try to explain as best i can. Once i have the air box out, what i have left is an accordian type of tube that has 2 tubes coming out of it. Attached to one of those tubes, the front one, is another tube that is welded to that tube. So my questions are, why does the AEM kit come with 2 tubes when one of the tubes cant be replaced because its welded to another, and where do i need to cut the stock accordian type tube. Sorry for the lame questions, but no one has posted these instructions and i dont wanna fuck it up. I will post detailed instructions once i actually do it.

you dont cut the accordian like tube, you cut the actual AEM intake....also, as far as that tube replacement you are talking about, i had the same problem when installing my injen back when i had it...well you can either get another hose and replace both of those tubes that are welded together or you can leave that welded mumbojumbo of tubes and just add a small section of hose on the end of the bigger tube that is supposed to be going into the CAI and wrap it around the back of the CAI and up onto the prong..thats what i did, i know this is frustrating, i had the same problem but i dont have any pics, its too bad another member who has pics or is well versed in the install could tell you, but all i can say is that i know exactly what you are talking about with those 2 welded metal tubes...but i know for sure that you have to cut the AEM intake and not the accordian thing....

I was looking at NOLACLS's pics here, http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/showt...threadid=72424

And it looks like he just used the stock tubes. So should i cut the AEM below where the hose holes are? Sorry for being anal, just following the rule of measure twice, cut once.
