Modified lighting is not a crime....
here is the CA vehicle code:
Division 12, chapter 2 is what you want.
http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/cgi-bin/ca...odesection=veh
Here's the thing though.....
Your blue road lamp is illegal though.
Section 25950-25952 says that...
"The emitted light from all lamps and the reflected light from
all reflectors, visible from in front of a vehicle, shall be white or
yellow, except as follows:"
Of course if u read..... "EXCEPT AS FOLLOWS" is explained in further detail. (i.e rear turn signals)
Front headlights have to be a White or Yellow.

Checkout traffic school on CD-ROM if the court will let you. You pay the fine, but NO points!

Again, Section 12, Chapter 2, Article 12, code #24953
In short, front blinkers can be yellow OR white (YES white) and the rear HAS to be yellow or red.
No Blue

Yea, the U-Turn will get you a point. That was what I was nailed for with my one and only moving violation ticket. Take 20 minutes of online traffic school and get that sucker written off.
...and you cannot do online traffic school in twenty minutes either.
There is a set amount of time specified by the court of so many hours (I think 4 or 6) of traffic school you must 'attend'. I know because my wife did the online traffic school a few years ago. She was going through the online text and question/answers too fast and got a warning that if she didn't slooooowww down she wouldn't get credit.
She slowed down by doing a few pages, walking away from the computer for 20 minutes, then doing a few more...and so on.
Her violation was in LA County for a 'rolling' stop through a sign at a parking lot where she worked. This is the one and only violation she has ever had in 20 years of driving.
She called the cop a 'fucker' to his face.
I don't think that I'd even have the balls to do that! She was really pissed off - parking lot stop sign rolled when no one was around (night, no one there except wife and cop) and cop was hiding (eating donut) behind bush or something.
I guess that the cop realized that he really was a 'fucker'. He didn't arrest her - he just handed her the citation and let her go.

Hmm, that's screwy.
I got my ticket in San Diego and whatever site I went to, I took the test in 20 minutes. But this was about 2 years ago.
