Bubble in tire!! need advice

I hit big piece of wood this weekend on the highway and now i have a bubble on my front drivers side tire. it looks like my tire has a huge zit waiting to be popped.

My question is, what should I do? do i need to get a new tire or can a tire place fix it? also, do u think its ok to drive on? i drove on it for about 2.5hrs only because i didnt know it had a huge zit on it.

also, does anyone know hte number of acura road side assistance (acura TLC)? the person who put my tint on removed the sticker.

also, if i have to get new tires, which ones should i get? i heard that the yoko's, toyo's and some others were pretty good. anyone know of a place in NoVA that sells performance tires for a good price?

thanks in advance!

do u think i should just replace the damaged tire w/another michelin (stock tire)?

OR

should i just get 4 new performance tires?

i dunno, its winter time too, so i'm not sure if i want to use the performance tires in the winter...

I had a bubble too... I switched to my current 18" Nittos... I had around 10,000-12,000 miles...

I sold one tire and still 2 to go.... I will be buying winter tires for stock rims.

Asking $85/per tire (firm) + shiping cost (you chose whatever service you like)

Your tire is unsafe!

You have seperated the layers of the plies due to the impact!
There is a good chance of a blow out if you drive too much on it.
replcamant of all or just the one depends on how much mileage and tread wear you have left on the others!

yeah, shti is fuct up yo....i hit like a big piece of wood or soemthing...have u gotten ur tire replaced yet?

i got about 17k miles on my original stock tires, so do u think it will be ok to put just one new one on? or will the tread wear make that much of a diff to replace all 4 tires?

this shit sucks....i guess my new tire will be my self-xmas present...

oh well

I bought one of Nashua's tires after I bubbled mine. It seems to go around and around quite well and holds air for a long time.

What more could I ask for?

Bubble in TIre

Man if possible replace all four tire with yoko's or somthing else but not MICHELINS. I have replaced 2 on the front driver side, 1 on the passenger front side, and one on the rear all in about 6 months. Those tires are a piece of Shit! I bought a set yokohama's YK420 215/50/17 with warranty against bubbles, etc. for about half of the cost of the MICHELINS. plus they have a longer tread life, and top rating in all catagories, temp, wear etc.Any one else who has gotten an bubble in their tire please email cause i am putting together a letter to MICHELIN and Acura for putting a bad tire on a car. I want a refund for their faulty design. And i need some proof that it is not just me. So we all can get refunds. keep your reciepts. Also i have a MICHELIN 17" for sale check the black market for post 4000/mi $75.00 + s&h.

I reiterate... everyone should go to their nearest Michelin dealer and buy "Road Hazard" coverage on their OEM tires. I paid $14 ea at Discount Tire three month ago. "Road Hazard" will replace the tire if it fails for any reason during the total mileage period (60k ?). Don't waste time looking for a deal on used tires. Protect your $30k investment.

tire rack had them for sale for $167, they are $180 at radley, so w/shippin and all that it works out to be the same..maybe a little more...

i got it replaced yesterday at radley and guess what?....radley never ceases to amaze me...

they put a huge scratch on my passenger side about 6 inches long....I HATE THOSE FOCKERS!!!!!!...

they hire rejects to work tthere and then they clainm they are precision team.....bullshit!!!

luckily i noticed it before i rolled off hte lot or else they would've said it was my fault.......the service agent said he'll take care of it today, but i just called him and he said the touch up guy wont be there till friday......they better not be giving me the run around, or else i will scratch every single one of there new cars

Re: Bubble in TIre

Me too Dammit.
I've already replaced one due to a sidewall bubble, and am about to replace the other, probably with yokohama's
I think it's a defect too, but the dealer and NTB told me other wise.
