"master keyed"

What do you mean by that? Someone has a copy of your key?

sorry to sort of hijack ur thread but my friend from school got her 2003 cl -s stolen from my school parking lot. they still don't know how it happened with security patroling and shyt and does not the inmobilizer suppose to respond and not let the car get ignited. there were no signs of broken window or popped ignition. She later got a call that they founf her car with no front end (stripped). That gets me mad cause I park my cl in the same lot but since there is a couple of ricers with there civics that go to my school, i'll b keeping an eye on them and with a metal bat in my hand :angryfire

It's supposed to. But this is the tech era & the car is several years old already. I've read about several easy ways to defeat the alarm systems in todays cars.

I believe all you need is the vin# and someone with "connections" could easily get a key.

When I worked at a Subaru/VW dealer I could easily have a key cut for any car our dealer sold. Kinda scary.

Rip it off

Hey,

Sorry to hear you car got jacked. Some punk ass stole my sub when I was in high school. Never found out who. Anyways, to make the locking mechanism not work, you have to remove the inside of your door. I once had a maxima and the power window would not work. I remove all the screws to the inside door panel and... what do you know. The arm bar to the lock was right infront of my eyes. But, I do not think its a good idea. There are plenty of article of ex-thieves who claim that no matter what, if they want it, they get. So the moral of the story is, don't put too much money into your car, put it in the bank.
