Bra for our car

I went to get a bra for my car and the parts guy told me that they had to remake the bras because the first ones were not fitted properly (obviously causing paint damage from flapping). Anyone else hear anything on this?

If you give the car a real good wax it will not scratch your car. If your read the instructions it states that you have to clean and wax the car before hand and also take it off if it gets wet. I only use mine for trips and it has never scratched my hood. I would be fucked with out it. Last time I used it coming back from Panama City I had to let that fucker soak in hot water there were so many bugs and nasty road crap on it.

An alternative is the Xpel clear bra.. someone from the TL forum had one and loved it.. saves him from rocks and bugs..

I got a chance to see it in person on a brand new 530i, can't even see the bra unless you are like < 5ft away..

You don't have to put in on and take it off all the time.. just leave it on and wash it the same time you wash your car..

I think a couple of guys on here have it too and they love it. Like Edub said, you treat it as if it's not even on the car. You wash and wax your car like normal.....

Yeah, from what I understand they are supposed to make a better fitting one. Should be on the shelf soon. See your Acura parts guy.

Can someone give me some details on this clear bra? I have heard of it , but have never seen it. What is it made of? Is there a web site that I can look at? Any pics? How much? Thanks!
