I have just recently become a new owner of a 2003 CLS (auto not 6spd) Couldn't find any decent ones for sale in the 6spd variety.

Anyhow, I spent hours looking at pictures of other ppl's cars in this forum and was very impressed. I was looking for a classy body kit that I can apply to my CL and came across this one on google. It did say it was a concept so I assume the body kit on this car was a one of a kind....but I am hoping something similar exists.

I saw that most ppl here prefer RJ body kits (which do look awsome), but I really like this one because I feel it is stylish yet not overly in your face. I am trying to keep the "stock" look where ppl see you have modified the car but can't quite put their finger on what has been done...only that it looks awsome.

I have included some pics of that body kit below. If anyone knows where I can get my hands on something very similar, pls email or reply to this post. I can even go for that awsome lip spoiler it has (which I know is similar to that M5 variety seeon on some cars here).

If you find out where you can get it let me know. I like it. Nice and mellow, not overly done. The back end with the exhaust tips reminds me of the new Lexus LS

I thought that was a CL concept put out by Acura but i might be mistaken. That is currently my wallpaper on my laptop. Its a great looking bodykit but I dont think its in production.

 

You can get the lip spoiler though. they have them on ebay. Dont know about the quality though.

 

I was afraid of that. The closest match I found to this body kit is the one offered by RJ, but it would need to be heavily modified at the body shop to get it to blend in and appear seamless.

As for that spoiler on ebay, I did run across it and also saw some pics of it installed and am not too crazy about how the adhesive tape strips are visible at the ends. Does anyone know if those lip spoilers offered for BMW's are the same way. I saw the link to that somewhere but lost it.

I have been looking at this for quite some time now. Its making me want to accomplish this and make the kit. I think its time for something different that looks damn good..

this is the closest thing to it right now, and unless you do something completely fabricated from scratch, there ill always be a seam.

The ebay lip spoiler is different from the one on the Sema CL. The ebay one replicates a BMW M5 lip.

Ron's kit is not too far off from the SEMA kit. The side skirts can easily be modified so that the seam coincides with the cars natural seam (highlighted in the pic below). As for the front and rear bumber additions, more extensive mods would be required. But the front is not bad at all. I only feel uneasy about how the rear add on seam looks. To me it looks kinda off how it runs midway across the entire width of the bumber.

When I replace my front bumper, I'm going to start playing with cutting it and playing around with it. Just going to have to play with other things..

 

ill try to make a lip like that once i get the CL. possibly a 3 piece lip, or one that comes out a little. like the mugen on the 5th gen ludes.
