Question Blown Motor - Engine Swap Question

Will a 03 CL-S/TL-S engine that came out of an auto work in an 03 CL-S that had a 6 speed? If so, what would need to be interchanged? All info greatly appreciated. Thanx

In theory that should work fine as long as those pieces are in tact.

imo - at the cost of of buying a junkyard motor, swapping parts, making sure it all works, it's smarter to just tear down and rebuild. you never know what you are getting with a junkyard motor.

Timing belt crank gear, CKP sensor, front cam gear, the 2 TDC sensors behind the front cam gear, is what needs to be swapped for it to work. Also the engine wire harness is different so you will have to swap yours onto that one.

It's not unheard of if you've got high enough octane to fuel the motor.
