I had a brief but interesting encounter on the way home from work tonight.

I was lined up at a traffic light near my office and saw a Taurus pull up to the limit line in the adjacent lane to the left. Now this roadway merges from two lanes into one in about one tenth of a mile, and I never get challenges from anyone here so I am relaxed and have the tunes cranked. I tap the gas gingerly and to my surprise see the car next to me start to jump ahead and I'm like WTF!!! so I jam on the gas in SS but I am in high in the SS2 gear and not pulling really fast. The car is about 1/2 length ahead of me and I backed down as the road narrowed into one lane.

Then I noticed it was a late-model Taurus SHO (ovoid tailights) and not an ordinary Taurus and there was a cute chick with short blond hair driving it!!! So I make sure I follow her closely as we go through about 1 mile of twisty roads. I can see she's got acceleration, but not enough traction to match the silver Hammer (she's breaking into all the corners that I am just rolling through easily at the same speed). I'm on her ass the whole time and then we both arrive at a T-interesection and are about to go opposite directions (me right, her left). She looks back in her side-view mirror as she's making a left with a smile and I wave at her "see ya next time, honey!" as I make a right turn heading home.

Same time tomorrow, I hope!!!

She :-* was most definitely trying to run FROM me... ...hehe...but was unsuccessful.

Hey...nothing this weekend...we will most likely have a meet on Saturday, March 23rd...keep checking here throughout the weekend and I'll have something posted.
