bbk is making loud noises - help?

just installed the 2pc front rotora BBK. at first it was very quiet. now when i come to a stop or hit the pedal too hard a very loud 'harmonic tone' or 'whistle' sound occurs. otherwise it brakes fine. it is not like the squeal/screech that a low indicator pad makes. it is much more pronounced and louder. the harder i press the pedal the louder the sound gets. and it is generally only when coming to a stop less than 10 mph. help?

Does it kinda sound like High MOANING SOUND, like metal to metal? Because I just bought some new Rotora rotors & pads, and just before my car stops, I get this DRY metal to metal rubbing sound, then a sqeeke!

um not really, its dead silent, until right before the car stops it gets a loud whistle noise that increases as the car gets slow. if i let off thebrake pedal and just roll and apply the brake it does it too. but if im doing 60 and lightly brake to 30 or so its quiet. it's really annoying.

Every car that I have had a BBK on made noise. From more of a humming sound (usually from the pad traveling over the holes) to a squeek. I have no experience with the kit you have, but I have experienced similar sounds from Brembo GT kits on 2 seperate cars, and also a Bear kit on another car.

The pads are a high performance pad. The pads that come with the kit are street/sport pads. Sometimes when the rotors/pads are breaking in they will make some noise; it should go away once everything has broken in. Also did you make sure the dust shield isn't hitting anything?

dust shield was removed. The installer of the original bbk bent it so it would not be touching, but we opted to remove it since it really serves no purpose

slotted and cross drilled. my first bbk was just slotted and made little to no noise. this is why i'm confused.
